REEFSCAPE

Beneath the ocean’s surface lies our planet’s most complex ecosystems, full of life and potential for exploration and learning, where each inhabitant has a role to play in building a thriving environment.

During the 2024-2025 FIRST® season, FIRST® DIVE℠ presented by Qualcomm, teams will use their STEM and collaboration skills to explore life beneath the surface of the ocean. Along the way, we’ll uncover the potential in each of us to strengthen our community and innovate for a better world with healthy oceans.

8/24 Update

We got Cu-60 motors!!

We have partially assembled 2.5 stages of our elevator, and it slides smoothly!

We reassembled our swerve for cleaning and practice for our newer students in preparation for the onseason, we used the NEO Mk4i conversion kit to space our Cu-60 motors correctly in relation to the Mk4i.

8/20 Update

Our team has just wrapped up the main phase of our robot CAD! (Of course, CAD is never truly finished — we’ll be making tweaks and updates as the season progresses.)

This past week, we finalized the design for our intake, claw, elevator, and drivebase systems. After a lot of iteration and feedback, we’re really happy with where things are at, and we’re sure this design will set us up for a stronger build season.

We’ve sent out our first batch of parts to Fabworks for manufacturing (use code FRC4322 for 5% off of your fabworks orders!). While we wait for those parts, we’ll be focusing on tapping and cutting parts we need for the assembly.

Yes, there will be very little CTRE hardware on our new bot. We are Team Redux and we will have a full suite of their new hardware. We are updating our software architecture to work with their not yet released swerve library. It’s a bit scary being the swerve alpha test team and yet it looks so amazing that we have to go for it.
